本次展览由中国国家新闻出版广电总局主办，是第32届伊斯坦布尔国际书展中国主宾国活动场外的重要活动。为期两周的展览精选了20例中国境内项目案例，以图片、展板、多媒体、建筑模型等表现形式，生动全面地展示中国城市化建设规模和成果。展品讲述了中国的发展新貌，向世界传递中国建筑(601668,股吧)师的创作实力。
据主办方介绍，展览主题之所以定为“蓬勃中国”，是因为中国是当今世界上建造量最大的国家，在城镇化发展过程中展现出蓬勃姿态，也涌现出不少卓越的建筑设计师。他们不仅创造了大批优秀的城市作品，也带动了整个中国建筑界迈向国际舞台。主办方希望通过这一展览推动中土两国建筑艺术界的交流，加深土耳其民众对中国建筑文化的了解。
