TS-S1202 (B) Sonic Logging Tool

The TS-S1202 (B) Sonic Logging Tool uses a single-transmitter, dual-receiver downhole transducer, with a spacing of 30 cm from the transmitter to Receiver 1 and 20 cm from Receiver 1 to Receiver 2. It transmits and receives acoustic wave information along the borehole wall within a borehole (an open hole containing borehole fluid). During logging, the transducer is lowered to the bottom of the hole or placed at the wellhead, and testing is carried out upward or downward at the logging point spacing. A computer performs wave train data acquisition and data storage. Indoors, P-waves are picked up through playback and data processing. From the waveforms acquired by the instrument, the first-arrival travel time of the P-wave is determined based on the waveform onset point, and the P-wave velocity is calculated.
