Wheel-lock scaffolding, also known as direct-insert scaffolding or cuplock scaffolding, mainly consists of vertical standards and horizontal ledgers. The cuplock node structure is rational, and the vertical standards transmit axial forces, giving the scaffolding high structural strength and good overall stability in three-dimensional space. It features a reliable self-locking function, effectively improving the overall stability and safety of the scaffolding and better meeting construction safety requirements.
1. In the early stage, a special construction plan for the support system should be designed, and the general contractor should set out and position the lines so that the support system is horizontal and vertical, ensuring the later installation of diagonal braces and overall connecting rods, and ensuring its overall stability and overturning resistance.

2. The installation foundation of the cuplock scaffolding must be tamped and leveled, and concrete hardening measures must be taken.
3. The cuplock scaffolding should be used within the elevation range of the beam and slab bottom plates at the same elevation. When used as a support frame for a single component with large height and span, the tensile force of the horizontal ledgers and the axial pressure (critical force) of the vertical standards should be checked to ensure the stability and safety of the frame.
4. After the frame is erected, sufficient diagonal braces should be added. Between the top jack and the horizontal ledger of the frame, sufficient horizontal tie rods should be added at a distance of 300-500mm to ensure reliable overall stability.

When using cuplock scaffolding for formwork support and erecting double-row scaffolds, the following requirements must be met
Due to its simple structure, stability and reliability, strong versatility, and large load-bearing capacity, cuplock scaffolding has been widely used in recent years.
Because the vertical standards of cuplock scaffolding are made of Q345B low-carbon alloy steel, their load-bearing capacity is far greater than that of other scaffolds.
At the same time, due to the specifications of diagonal rods, they play a diagonal bracing role, and the unique cuplock self-locking design makes it highly safe and load-bearing.
Therefore, in formwork support frames and other operation frame projects, the specific design and construction requirements are crucial for those who are new to this.
Requirements for erecting double-row scaffolds 01 The erection height should not exceed 24 meters. When erecting double-row scaffolds with cuplock scaffolding, the erection height should not exceed 24m. The geometric dimensions of the frame can be selected according to usage requirements. The step distance of adjacent horizontal ledgers should preferably be 2m; the longitudinal distance of vertical standards should preferably be 1.5m or 1.8m, and should not exceed 2.1m; the transverse distance of vertical standards should preferably be 0.9m or 1.2m.

02 Selection of the length of the first-layer vertical standards of the scaffolding. For the first layer of cuplock scaffolding, vertical standards of different lengths should be arranged in a staggered manner. The vertical distance of staggered vertical standards should not be less than 500mm, and adjustable bases should be provided at the bottom of the vertical standards.
03 Points to note when setting up pedestrian passages. When setting up pedestrian passages in double-row scaffolding, support beams should be erected above the passage, and diagonal rods should be added on both sides of the passage. The top of the opening should be covered with closed protective plates, and safety nets should be set on both sides; for openings for motor vehicles, safety warnings and anti-collision facilities must be provided.04 Control of horizontal layer strength. For each step of the horizontal ledger layer of double-row scaffolding, when there is no steel scaffold board with hooks to strengthen the stiffness of the horizontal layer, horizontal diagonal rods should be set every 5 bays.
05 Setting of wall tie members. Wall tie members should be kept perpendicular to the facade of the cuplock scaffolding and the wall. Wall tie members on the same layer should preferably be in the same plane, with a horizontal spacing not greater than 3 bays, and the distance from the outer side of the main structure should not be greater than 300mm. Wall tie members should be set next to the cuplock node with horizontal ledgers. The distance from the connection point to the cuplock node should not be greater than 300mm. When steel pipe couplers are used as wall tie rods, right-angle couplers should preferably be used to connect to the cuplock vertical standards.
06 External protection settings. The outer side of the cuplock scaffolding at the working layer should be provided with toe boards and protective railings, and dense safety nets should be fully hung on the outer facade of the scaffolding; the protective railings should be set at two levels, at heights of 500mm and 1000mm from the working layer.
