The project is located in Chengze Garden of Peking University. Before underpinning, the ancient building foundation was pre-reinforced by grouting. The underpinning of the ancient building foundation adopted a pile-raft integral underpinning method. Underground space excavation and underground structure construction were carried out within the limited space under the ancient building, and finally the ancient building was entirely transferred onto the new underground structure, with an underpinning height of about 15m.
The building has 33 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, with a total height of 96.6m. The settlement reduction reinforcement adopted a composite pile foundation and enlarged foundation scheme, with a pile diameter of 500mm and a pile length of 15m; the inclination correction adopted a horizontal soil extraction forced settlement scheme under the foundation.
The project includes six 11-18 story high-rise residential buildings. Anchor static pressure steel pipe piles were used for foundation settlement reduction reinforcement, combined with soil extraction, surcharge loading, dewatering, and slab cutting forced settlement techniques for inclination correction. This reinforcement project has significant social impact, complex technology, large scale, and high risk, with a reinforcement cost of approximately 21 million yuan.
The project has a building area of approximately 22,000 m², a building height of 82m, a foundation embedment depth of 6m, and adopts a 16-18m long CFG pile composite foundation. Structural reinforcement and soil extraction inclination correction were used, with a contract amount of 11.8 million yuan.
The project adopted a scheme of anchor static pressure steel pipe piles plus base grouting reinforcement to reduce settlement and reinforce the existing foundation, with a contract amount of 3.16 million yuan.
The project has one underground floor with a story height of 3.5m. Overall uplift occurred in Zones III-D and III-C of the project, with a maximum uplift height of 740mm. According to the safety appraisal report, based on the degree of damage to structural components and combined with loading conditions, targeted reinforcement methods were used respectively.
The residential building is a five-story brick-concrete structure with a plan dimension of 41.8m × 11.1m. Due to foundation issues, uneven settlement occurred, causing the building to tilt, with a maximum inclination of 2.16%. The foundation reinforcement scheme adopted underpinning technology, and the deviation correction scheme adopted overall structural jacking with a jacking height of 600 mm. After reinforcement, the building inclination was 0.057%.
