Recently, at the EO/EG unit site of the Gulei Refining and Chemical Integration Project, XCMG's 4,000-tonne crawler crane XGC88000 hoisted the upper section of the world's largest kilotonne-class EO/EG washing tower high into the air. At a height of 50 meters, the upper and lower tower sections were perfectly joined and welded, and the 'World's No.1 Crane' once again continued its lifting legend.

Comprehensive upgrade in difficulty, 'National Treasure' fears no challenge
It is reported that this washing tower is one of the core equipment of the EOEG (ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol) unit, with a diameter of about 9 meters, a total height of 102 meters, and a total weight of about 2,000 tons. Its super-large diameter and overweight tonnage are both the highest among similar process washing towers in the world today. To erect such a 'big guy' is indeed not easy. Due to the extreme difficulty of lifting the entire tower, the tower body was cut into upper and lower sections at the factory, and assembled at the project site by hoisting the lower section into place and then joining and welding the upper section in the air.

Kilotonne-class strong alliance, main and auxiliary cranes work together
At the beginning of last month, the first step of hoisting the tower body of the EOEG unit washing tower was successfully completed. XCMG's 4,000-tonne crawler
