Project Overview: This project was undertaken by the Fujian Electric Power Construction - Yongqiang Kenya Joint Venture and is located in Suswa Town, Rift Valley Province, Kenya. The deep-well grounding electrode station is part of Kenya's high-voltage direct current transmission project and is situated 13 kilometers southwest of the Suswa Substation. The deep-well grounding electrode in this section is a 50m deep well, with a pile diameter of approximately 355.66mm for the deep-well grounding electrode. There are a total of 56 holes, with a cumulative length of 2,800m.

Project Overview: 32 stories with a 4-story basement, supported by cantilever rotary bored cast-in-place piles with a pile diameter of 1200mm.
Project Challenges: The bearing stratum is slightly weathered rock, and construction took place during the rainy season, with large water inflow at the pit bottom.
Solution: Based on the site geological conditions, the SR250R rotary drilling rig was selected, ensuring a penetration rate of 1.5 hours per meter in the slightly weathered rock stratum. Drilling speed was reasonably controlled to reduce drill rod wear, thereby ensuring both the construction schedule and project quality, and earning praise from the general contractor.
